Surely, we are not gambling the future of this company by installing a traditional retail culture, micromanaging the stores, and thinking Levi's/vitamins are going to save us. Come on! We need to think outside of the tradition retail box. It's time to cut the stores that are running in the negative, cut any store that cannot afford to have a well-staffed store (seriously, don't be the company that keep putting team members at risk and pushes them to the point of quitting just to add few dollars to the bottom line), start investing in technology (CT could do so much more to improve efficiency and omg, don't get me started on all the different systems and passwords). Think about it. I stop shopping at places that are not well staffed. SB said we need to think that we are a department store that sells textbooks. SB, I challenge you to think we are a service provider that provides campus services.

It is becoming very clear that the new leadership has no idea of what we do at the store level, the level of service our campuses expect and how needy the students are. And shame on the GVPs and RMs for going along with it. Most of you grew up in the industry and should know better.
It is painful to see the company make the same mistakes over and over. Clearly, new leadership doesn't mean a new way of thinking. The death spiral will continue without a new way of thinking. Let's hope that the Willo Acquisition doesn't follow the same fate of all the other acquisitions.
I wonder if different regions have different experiences with the current situation based on their RM. Mine isn't the worst I assume but not the best at being understanding.
I am holding out for the BK. BN bid on our store when the contract was up for renewal so if FHE falters, they will pick up the pieces.
We are at a critical stage of how the future of this company is going to play out. Current leadership, direction and actions, we will be sold off or bankrupt by this time next year.
