Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Focus is messed up!

When a company focuses on badge swipes/RTO mandate, instead of employee productivity and project/work outcomes, they are doomed to be left with robot employees that offer no loyalty, no creativity, no passion, and no team spirit. Best of luck Ford. Merge with another company that knows how to treat their employees, before it's too late!

I worked at Ford for a couple of years in an LL position and this is what I can tell you, LLs don't know how to do what is needed to set goals and manage productivity. Objective setting is terrible at Ford (and many, but not all other places) and as a results, there is no way to measure how anyone is doing against those objectives. Middle LLs put no importance on it, and almost all lower LLs I worked with were never trained how to set objectives, at best they watch an online video or read a webpage on it. When I was trained on this over 20 years ago, I had a full week in class course for learning how to set and measure work and many other skills not taught today.

So yes, RTO and badge swipes is easy since someone else measures the number and the manager/supervisor can just assume they must be working if they drove in 45 minutes of traffic to be here.

We return the loyalty and energy we are shown.

Get that Ford Family feeling! Feel like part of the team! Upgrade the keyless entry with an OWNER badge scanner accessible via the exterior. Then when they have to swipe in, they will think they work at Ford. Y'a think they will notice the missing front seat/no place to sit? A brilliant cost-save too!

No! Don’t merge with another company. Ford would just take that company down with it
