Does that mean our team got lucky or that we're now in danger for the next round since this one missed us? I'm hoping layoffs are done for this year at least, but it wouldn't surprise me if we hear about more next week or sometime in the next month or two.

I've heard only useless people got laid off, it's true, I can tell you by my own experience. They found me out.
Why stay working for Gainwell?
They are not just a terrible place to work. But they are in peril. Serious trouble is on the horizon. They will have no choice but to sell for a fraction of the amount that was invested. And when that happens outlook for employees will be at an all time low.

@OP WFRs occurred on Monday. It was a mix of personnel; both management and technical staff. I do not think the company is done with WFRs for the year as they historically have laid off during the holiday months.
Lots of posters have said it previously. No one appears to be safe.
I heard of WFR from at least two different organizations. I do not have details on any numbers, but I think small numbers at each place. I think they happened on Monday. I do not think they are done for the year. I saw one high ranking manager is now Open to Work on LinkedIn.
