I am really worried about how much more expensive therapy could be, and I don’t see costs spelled out yet on the open enrollment site. Does anyone have any reliable info on cost per session if you have PPO plan? I have worked really hard with my doctor to stabilize my mental health, and this feels really scary and overwhelming at a time when I am vulnerable. Thank you

I notice several posters mention Carlton but we don’t have Carlton as a provider in Houston as far as I know. My family has not been able to find a provider in Houston that will accept the current mental health insurance. So for Houston folks I don’t think the mental health insurance could get worse since I can’t find anyone to take it.

If you or family member uses a Carelon therapist, you might want to ask HR Service Center if you will need to find a new Anthem BCBS therapist on 1/1/2026.

How do they expect us not to smoke weed during work hours then?

Read the notice. The program is not just being discontinued but it's being rolled into the Medical programs....likely at higher cost. Just another way to save money for MW's salary and benefits.

@b8 Yea, I heard about that when I called Carelon and that sped up my decision to retire now. Human Energy needs to stricken from the lexicon.

Losing Carelon when layoffs are occurring and is not good. Chevron has been using them for years. This reduced benefit confirms there is no Human Energy and we are not important.

Yeah, that’s right, eliminate the mental health plan while laying off thousands in one of the shittiest job markets in decades … I mean, what could go wrong?

Benefits are being slashed. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel in an antique industry.

@a5

Ugh. If it’s regular office visits I can handle that.

@OP if you use a Carelon Therapist, you’re going to be paying out-of-pocket from now on.

@OP everything is going up for us. Chevron no longer has the best benefits package.
