Suncor said they wouldn't touch their field staff. They did, firing engineers and all.

@f2
Can't wait to see a "d-mb" engineer become your supervisor and then put you on PIP because you're d-mber.
Most of the engineers, planners etc are useless. We could fire them all and hire 1-2 actually experienced people and call it a day.
Kearl site-based MPT were informed today in writing they were out of scope and not invited to the JW session tomorrow AM.
site MPTs are affected. Per relative ranking, all deadweights will be replaced by relatively better deadweights.
This includes (and especially) leaders and SLTs that have never left the operating asset through their career.
@ab yes it sounds funny; “high performer at QP”, but believe me the bar on site is set pretty low in some departments! I hope the purge applies to site MPT folks as well
@OP I believe field staff are safe, but the whole assets can be sold as whole in the horizon.
High performing folks from QP?????
Please, don’t make me laugh 😂
Lol they will be some of the first.
Field engineers are part of the above field. "Newfoundland a-hole" only mentioned wage staff being safe.
Well field MPT staff could absolutely be affected here. Poor performing people on site could get bumped by high performing QP folk. It happened in the past, hopefully happens again this time around. Some incompetent dufus shouldn’t be “safe” just cause they work on site. Am I wrong??
