@1rd go back and check how many YEARS it took SAP to develop AI for a 3-way procurement match (invoice, original PO, and goods receipt document). Not exactly space travel.

@1d3 Only an id--t would believe this AI hype, only very simple mouth breathers do.

AI is just a voice based interface for overpriced search engines and rebranded programmatic automation that has existed for decades. Lemme guess, you also believe in "clean core"?

@1d3 The person is right though. AI is vastly overhyped, and the bubble will burst sooner or later.

@176 I asked GPT what type.of person would post this and it said "clearly an id--t!"

Chuck Norris (and only Chuck Norris) has implemented AI successfully.

@OP Ha ha ha!! AI is failing in almost all scenarios, whether is Wendy's or Taco Bell having to turn off their AI drive though due to catastrophic failure, Klarna having to hire back humans they laid off, Microsoft having to force their own employees to use the junk AI their own people created, IBM having to hire back the people they laid off for "AI", and id--ts like Sam Altman and others telling everyone they can fire developers while hiring more developers themselves, it goes on and on. AI is a lie and just the latest hype cycle.

@ar He came from the aerospace industry, in which usually people (not software/AI engines/computers) sc--w up and planes crash, get grounded, etc. His point of view is 180 degrees from yours.

Frankly, Asam is either playing with fire or simply hasn’t read the manual. He’s swallowed the oldest management bait hook, line, and PowerPoint slide.

Jensen Huang recently reminded the world that software engineers aren’t going extinct anytime soon. Why? Because engineers possess the vision and context to create software that reshapes how we work and live. AI today can only regurgitate code, it can’t conjure ideas or understand a problem from scratch.

So when Asam claims 60–70% of roles can be “digitized” away, he’s admitting that SAP will be selling software no one truly needs or that no longer advances the world in a meaningful way. At best, that’s naïve; at worst, it’s dangerous.

Frankly, if anyone’s role is up for AI replacement, maybe it should be the guy FIRST who thinks SAP can thrive with a ghost workforce led by agents!

AI will not take your job, only half of your team's job...so people will fight each other to keep their job ?

and here is where HPOM enters the game...

AI is NOT going to take your jobs. lol

But also AI will allow us to afford less employees.
