it just less incompetent than intel
That money will be used what Pat did all wrong by taking $50B loan debt . He is making smart move to dilute

He is VC he knows what he is doing. Apple is buying some % . He is making smart by giving them % of company so Apple , Nvidia and other buy from intel .

Organizational cultural rot and bad workplace reputation is very difficult to reverse. Intel will not be able to compete with TSMC.
But they are the only one with advanced node manufacturing capability in US even if it’s not at TSMC level so ELT will keep up the “too big to fail” story to get govt money and help for as long as they can milk it. That and the fact that Intel still has a big market share in the mature but lucrative x86 laptop and desktop market will keep the money flowing for ELT bonuses for a few more years.

All investors will lose. Money is not the savior here as the incompetent management is still ruling Intel. Money will just delay the inevitable a little longer. That's all. Intel has no strategy to make a come back for a long time now.
