I would like to see the SLT take a 10% pay cut to help fund 21st century systems and competent IT. They should not recover that money until VZ has 4 straight quarters of growth without cooking the numbers. Yes numbers are being cooked. The DOJ will do nothing about it.

Take the layers of do nothing ,non productive people and get rid of them and give raises to the frontline and reward the reps for retention and gross adds, ans stop micromanaging this HPU cause it's a scam . Then take a look at the the archaic commission system and replace the non functional pos system with software that works and easy to use .

I sure hope there isn’t. I make an outstanding salary but have absolutely zero skils. I don’t really want to flip burgers for a living.

If we removed anyone who's called out Verizon's ultimate failure, the union problem wouldn't exist. They'd all be gone.

I LOVE reorgs.
The people that are new to my team work their butts off for at least 6 months to prove they are valuable to me
The people I kept from before the reorg work their butts off for at least 6 months to prove the new people aren't more valuable than they are.
Once they've done this for 6 months they think can't back off or they'll earn a higher spot on my RIF list. If someone does back off, it's no effort at all on my part to get them back to where they should be.

I've read this exact same post with the exact same replies 2-6 times every year for the past 10 years.
Yes- every year there will most likely be at least one reorg. No- it does not indicate the imminent bankruptcy, sale, insolvency or any other form of Verizon's demise.
If all we did was eliminate everyone who's posted any variation on "rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic," we'd have eliminated our debt. If we add to that list anyone who's cried wolf about Verizon's ultimate failure, we might stop trying to rid ourselves of the unions.

@cd I’m hearing that the goal in Real Estate Ops to to outsource everything below a Director level. They cleared out the good ADs/Managers. We keep being told no, but here in Texas I’m interviewing every chance I can

@ar VGS is Verizon global services which was created in 2022 to offshore as much work as possible. The company spent tens of millions for an external analysis on how to do it and created a team called global enablement factory to get it going. Power battles and constant chaotic reorgs ensued including the involuntary termination of the 1st vgs president that claimed he left because his son graduated college. The proxy said otherwise. VGS fired and offshored many, but failed to get the grand scheme complete in time which caused the 2024 VSP offering. None of this was addressed in the slightest by leadership that instead talked about Tom Brady, 5ks, photoshoots, and planting trees while collecting massive bonuses off the destruction of American lives and jobs. Yet now they bow down to Brendan Carr as if they ever cared about America in the first place.

Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry be happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't worry be happy
Don't worry be happy now

Ooh-ooh-hoo-hoo-ooh hoo-hoo-ooh-ooh ooh

@ad Right on spot. I see more and more positions opened for AD. I don't get it. We need workers here not AD.. One AD can handle several workers.. I have no idea how HR/Company approves this. No wonder why Stock is stuck in 40s.

Ha! Someone below mentioned "finance transformation" - ah those were the days of wedging in the slogan of becoming the "gold standard of finance orgs". Shammo and Ellis both long gone to count their millions. I saw Ellis resurfaced recently as CFO of Universal Music Group in LA. I wonder if he'll still snort his displeasure at everything thru his nose like he used to do here?
He went from Tyson Chicken to VZ to a music company....

I wonder if VGS will be disbanded and swept under the rug as a massive failure that ruined careers and lives. Half the original leaders had “long planned retirements” less than 2 years in. It’s a disgrace in vision and accountability that could only happen in a company too big to fail. Just add it to the pile with go90, aol, yahoo, bluejeans, hum, plus play and finance transformation!
