Sad day for Cork and BNY Ireland.
'Roles' moving to Dublin, not people.
Unlikely people would move their lives to Dublin for this heartless company that could fire them next year.
There will be a huge loss of knowledge when Wexford and Cork staff gone.

Robin is equal opportunity in his destruction of mature, erudite , domain knowledge centers in the US, Ireland and UK. And why?
Because RV thinks we ‘cost all too much’ and are not fly by night low budgets, which he likes to inflate quarterly statements with. RV doesnt like the incomes our areas are commensurate with. And RV adores the absence of labor laws and worker’s rights in India.
Our CEO and Chairman is a sociopath. He sees us all not as hardworking deserving people. He sees us as bills, expenses, benefit costs and a necessary problem.
The end.

Another sad day for BNY in Ireland! Some amazing people and a huge amount of knowledge are being lost from both the Cork and Wexford offices. I’m really sorry for everyone affected by the news, though I hope the package being offered at least brings some relief. It’s hard to see how Dublin is going to absorb this amount of work.

Who cares? Ireland was the cheapo location to outsource jobs before Poland and India.

Very few from Wexford in position to take jobs and commute to Dublin 4 days a week. Majority of staff are redundant or will be by end of month with only senior staff available to work remotely over phased basis of next 3-12 months. Dublin has struggled to recruit staff.

No doubt Dublin gets a load more jobs. How considerate of BNY to put all their eggs into one city basket

Interesting how it's still BNY Mellon branding that the papers have...

Anyways, for those in Cork impacted the best advice right now would be to reach out to anyone left in Wexford!

  • how to handle the 'People Team'?
  • who plays good cop and who plays bad cop ?
  • communication.....
