It will be announced in a few weeks. OpEx is being hit hard. 25% of some teams, some more.

The only thing consistent in this joke of an org is layoffs and the failed re-orgs that follow! Rinse and repeat. The Season starts again on Wednesday, if last year is any indication! Good luck to you all!
DDAT is 100% a joke. It has gotten so bad over the last 2-3 years.
Below poster is right... new leadership swings on in, sc--ws everything up, promotes the wrong people, keeps the wrong people and gets rid of anyone with knowledge or is a good leader as they are a threat to their existence. Soon they will get their hiring bonus and be on to their next thing. Especially true in Infrastructure/security and when working in the jumbotron's org.
@284 feeling the same way. October 1st won’t be here soon enough.
@283 it’s a dumpster fire. I’m hoping today’s my last Monday. The rumors are saying Oct 1 for those sudden 15m meetings. Keeping my fingers crossed, I’m so fried and ready
@24h I agree with that aspect - that it isn’t all Tilak in the case of the merger. But DDAT is a joke. The constant shifting of priorities, ways of working, the cultural shift among teams is not sustainable.
This idea that all of a sudden some VPs are no longer needed while other VPs remain. The flood of promotions this month of people to Executive Directors (some who are continually failing up) is laughable. IT hiring a huge number of contractors who are doing the work of product teams is insane and clearly a consolidation of power in IT.
CVS has changed dramatically in the last few years and not for the better.
@241
TBF is isn't all Tilak. This started in 2018. Typically in mergers like this where entire business units and IT divisions are thrown under one umbrella, Middle Manager's at the LD level and ED level are let go first. The levels below that are then reassigned to new management for streamlining of responsibilities and projects
That did not happen in this case.
I cannot even begin to tell you how little experience Lead Directors and Exec Directors have with regards to IT.
Merging all of AIS and BDAs under DDAT was a huge mistake. CVS IT is outdated too. A whole bunch of unqualified people in leadership without the skillset to lead hoping to avoid being identified for their lack of knowledge, people skills, and job skills.
@241 Agree completely. Tilak and his band of followers who go from company to company sowing chaos and division - why don’t they stay at a company long term? They talk a good game but they are all just empty suits creating misery.
They need to get rid of Tilak and the people he brought in next.
He's such fraud.
Still no funding to merge CVS and Aetna
Still tracking hours for everything
Complete mess.
The VP of User Experience who reported directly to Tilak was let go on Thursday due to what leadership told us was an elimination of his position. He had only been in that role about 1.5 years.
@af yup the org charts are too much. We have more directors, and exec directors that have IT A MESS. The little guy is getting inundated w work because they refuse to hire FTEs and fill positions they would rather put the work of three people on one and they readily admit it. It's disgusting and at the end of the year you won't get a big bonus or a good salary increase, but they sure will.
@1a4
The clock is October every year, with smaller ones in between.
You must be one of the people adding to overhead.
Every other month 'layoffs coming' should be the theme of this web page.
Like a broken clock I guess eventually this will be right.
@af 100% this
If you hired a relative or a relative of a coworkeror you alcoholic friend you need to go and on top cost others their jobs, you need to go.
That's about half my group right there.
Good on DDAT, TM and his directs are an abomination almost as bad as his NYSE rambling about healthcare that I just watched. Surprised the stock price isn't down $12 after that....
When your director and executive director start fawning over a new AVP on social media....
Just came to know from my manager that many developers in backend teams from DDAT are in the list! I hope they pick me as I can't take this anymore.
Only DDAT? Or other areas as well?
@j6
It was last year as well .October 1st. First culling.
Then lots of people moved under DDAT that were previously part of the HBC business.
Second culling.
Definitely a sense that something is coming soon - probably not until October 1st is the rumor. Feeling a shift in how people/teams are interacting. Almost feels like folks are just going through the motions waiting for the announcement. Longstanding meetings being cancelled last minute with no explanation. Trouble getting people on meetings. It’s sad to see the shift occurring real time as we all wait.
Great great great!
I don't think it's just pharmacy. Lots of expensive people who threw others under the bus to keep a job.
pal, ambrozie, johnson
Ok. There are Lead Diectors and above who could not find their way out of an Excel workbook, put together a powerpoint presentation, let alone figure out cloud migration. All in DDAT.
What’s the source?
Opex is operational expenses. These include salaries, rent, utilities. Opex also includes on going licenses, cloud costs, etc.
Sorry...what is OpEx? So many peo0le still using old unofficial titles and roles still from everyone being thrown into the DDAT ocean of doom over the past 2 years.
What lines of business are affected? Which roles?
