Looks like the cost for medical insurance is going up for 2026.

@4az they should give us $20K in cafeteria benefits and let us spend the money buying our own policies and they can pay the ACA opt out penalty and the company would save $10m per year easily.
If they are delaying telling the EE's, it is probably not good news.
My guess the premiums will go up at least 10% with lower benefits.
Seems to be trend for almost all medical insuance plans for 2026.
JMO.
@41
It’s too bad the company isn’t transparent with premiums ahead of time. They knew 2 months ago. Send out an email and level with us now. Remember the new cfo said she was surprised by the lack of transparency. Just sayin.
Well, it the EE's do not know by now, it probaly will be not good.
Mutual of America is expected to adjust its medical plans for 2026, likely in response to rising healthcare costs and changes in government reimbursement rates. Specific details about the changes will be available closer to the open enrollment period, but generally, insurers are scaling back on extra benefits and may increase premiums.
@3bm i wait with 'masterbated" breath
@3bm Mutual should sue Anthem and CVS for raking us all over the high premiums, huge overhead costs, benefit denials, hiding data from HR to make benefit decisions as a self funded plan with Anthem being only a TPA. Anthem overpays claims and is in collision in bed with providers and dr-g companies. Look how much their top executives make. Plus, only 75% of every dollars is used for high priced over reimbursed claims. 25% on overhead. It is a highway robbery situation. Sue Anthem next after bqs
You will find out shortly.
@36r right, right but how much are OUR premiums per check going up ? $25, $50, or $1M ?
In 2026, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) is expected to raise premiums for group plans, with proposing increases ranging from 5% to over 25%, primarily due to rising healthcare costs and economic factors. The specific changes can vary by state and plan type
C'mon people. How much are medical insurance premiums going up in 2026 and will the 401k match be slashed. Better yet, when will some overpaid executives be canned.
Will the match stay at 6% or be dropped to 4% ? Promises to Keep
@1qh there is a pulse still left on this board. appppreciate the reactions. Muchos grassyas$. muy bueno
wil the 401k match be cut ? for new benefits and to increase morale, rumor has it free lap dances will be offered to high stress depts
@yh How many peeps in the Mutual plan are taking GLP-1 Zepbound and how much is the annual billed cost to the plan as of today ? How many in the plan were forced from Zepbound to Wegovy without Doctors or Plan Participants Consent ? Do you have these number u can share wid us ?
@x9
Big impact to Mutual's Plan ????
No. CVS is being sued for droping coverage for one dr-g for another.
Only effects people who are taking the dr-g that is being replaced.
@OP Get a load of this one Pops !
Big impact to Mutual's Plan !
"A class-action lawsuit was filed last week against CVS Caremark in the Southern District of New York over its decision to replace Eli Lilly’s popular GLP-1 weight-loss dr-g Zepbound with Wegovy from Novo Nordisk.
The coverage change made in July applies to the most common formulary template, which represents between 25 million and 30 million individuals overall, although the lawsuit was filed on behalf of two patients. The plaintiffs alleged that the pharmacy benefits manager is violating its fiduciary duty under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, because their providers prescribed Zepbound as medically necessary for them.
"Plaintiffs’ claims for coverage for their Zepbound prescriptions were improperly denied, and the arbitrary and capricious denials issued by CVS Caremark ignored the language of the underlying plans, the reasons why Zepbound is medically necessary for each plaintiff and overruled the recommendations of plaintiffs’ skilled and knowledgeable medical providers," the lawsuit said.
The plaintiffs also challenge Caremark’s assertion that the two GLP-1 dr-gs are nearly identical. "Because of their different methods of action, different clinical outcomes and different side effects for individual patients, Zepbound and Wegovy are not clinically interchangeable," the complaint said.
@fe nope. They ain't that stupid. Tiaa still has an active db plan. If the 401k match is reduced to 4% they will blame it on health care costs and also emphasize there will be salary freezes except for VP, SVP, and Exec VP. Just watch how this might play out. Remember, the company still has a special incentive comp plan for VP, board, directors. The special shares vest after 3 years and there are $7M-$10M being diverted from the company coffers each year to pay for this ponzi scheme. This special benefit needs be nixed
@m0 How much are the pep insurance premiums ? Right now we pay $11 per check. The coverage absolutely sucks though.
@dh are you ok ? You seem to be very angry. There is an EAP program if you need help. It supposed to be confidential.
I'm on my husband's plan and not on the mutual plan and premiums are going up 4% net paycheck impact of $25 more every 2 weeks. Dental is going up. They are increasing the pet insurance through nationwide.
@dm the way they will spin it is that no one in our industry matches 6% on the 401k and the benefit is too rich and to fall inline with industry competitors, we have to reduce the match to 4%. Blah, blah, blah, blah, f*ing blah BS
Bet your bottom and last dollar the 401k employer matchh will be reduced from 6% to 4% to pay for the insurance in health ins premiums. employee benefits are still on the chopping block and this is the excuse to cut more. Its predicable so get your popcorn and watch. M'f'ers.
@d8 @az schlicters law firm is actively soliciting litigants for class action suits online. The floodgates suing health insurance companies and pbms will begin soon. The strong lawsuits won't c-um from plan particispants, but employers suing the insurance companies like Anthem, BCBS, CVS, etc. mutual should sue. Even though it is a self funded plan, insurance companies still are overcharging by 50%. If mutual sued, employees would be fully supportive. Befoe i retired, i paid $4000 a year out of povket for premiums and mutial was pay like $30K per yr for family coverages. Instead of laying off more employees, go after the f'u-cking Anthems. F'ck anthem. f'u-k bcbs. Sue their a*s'sses

Blue Cross Blue Shield Premium Increases for 2026
General Overview
Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) is expected to raise premiums for health insurance plans in 2026. This increase is part of a broader trend among health insurers across the United States.
Reasons for Premium Increases
Several factors contribute to the anticipated premium hikes:
Rising Healthcare Costs: The costs of medical services and prescription dr-gs are increasing, which directly impacts insurance premiums.
Expiration of Enhanced Premium Tax Credits: Starting in 2026, enhanced premium tax credits that have helped many individuals afford their plans will expire. This change is expected to lead to higher out-of-pocket costs for many enrollees.
Changes in Risk Pool: As healthier individuals may drop their coverage due to increased costs, the remaining pool of insured individuals may require more medical care, further driving up premiums.
Expected Premium Changes
Average Increases: On average, BCBS and other insurers are proposing premium increases ranging from 15% to 20% for individual plans in 2026.
Specific Examples: For instance, a single adult earning $25,000 may see their monthly premium rise from $50 to $150, while a family of four with a $60,000 income could see an increase from $250 to $600.
Conclusion
Overall, BCBS is likely to implement significant premium increases in 2026, influenced by rising healthcare costs and changes in federal financial assistance.

@ay mutual should hire Schlichter to sue Anthem for RICO, collussion, rackettering. Hiway robbery. Waste, fraud, abuse. 50% goes to Ceo salary and overhead. The cost of denail is huge. Cancer payments. The company ahould sue Anthem and CvS. The firm would gets tons of support from the 850 empliyees left w/a suit like that. Something they could get behind. Boost morale.
@OP its those g-damn f'ing weight loss drugs driving up costs. So much for obamacare driving down prices. Trump is trying to bring down costs. How many layoffs will happen with the cost of premiums going up ? Another reason to outsource IT to Pakistan or Qatar.
