I have been told that a bunch of people have been notified by management that they have been selected. Is this true?

Not surprised they completed pre selections past week.
Get rid of every HR stooge.
Determinations get made, and then the paperwork is processed by HR before formal announcements. Managers generally know the results before it is official, and in that case, it is reasonable for them to share the results "out of school" to help relieve folks' worry. That said, in most cases, it is not over until the fat lady sings (i.e., official notification letter from HR).
I was already told even being the top candidate, I won't be selected for a role and left standing.
That’s what happened in 1H. Can’t tell who is placed since there are so many people they have to go through. Some people have already been slotted before they go into the meeting
Doubt it. HR is tight lipped. Selections will be notified on 9/22. They will continue to watch us squirm for another week.
