Rumor is September is reorganize / layoff time. Only 2 Fridays left in September and everyone knows the announcements come on Friday. Wondering if the Elliot intervention has put the the breaks on the PepsiCo plans? Hmmm?

September has come and gone with nothing. Maybe October? Patiently waiting for what comes next!
@tq yup at this point whole sections of org shut down. Whoever "supporting" bottling before refranchise
Multiple layers of away from home sales likely gone
Not some cut few low level exercise
Lot of VP out on street maybe next job some small food co with 50% pay cut
@tm hope that applies across VP roles as well!
I heard all remote roles are going to be eliminated. So if you are somehow still in a role in which your outlook says “WFH” you will need to move to be closer to a Hub location or expect your papers.
@qb Elliott will find plenty of opportunity at PEP, it won't be too hard.
@qb and Elliott forced big changes at Starbucks, one of them being ousting the CEO. It's coming to PEP, don't be an Ostrich and hide your head in the sand
@py that's what they said about Elliott at Southwest Airlines a year ago. Now fast forward and look at all the change that Elliott has influenced/forced there, like eliminating 15% of all corporate roles.
@ez Elliott’s investment only amounts to 2% of the company. Not enough to mandate any change. This is just another activist to come along and suggest changes. All of the others that came before them didn’t get much, if anything, accomplished. I wouldn’t think about it much.
@dm you need to read about their other “investments” or companies and what change they caused. Then note, PepsiCo is the largest investment ever before you think they are ONLY 2%
@dm Elliott playbook is to threaten proxy fight, not buy whole company...same deal at Southwest air and starbucks. If changes arent made will fight for new board. Or pressure board for new CEO
Ramoncito only survives if he basically just does what Elliott wants.
The Elliot investment only amounts to 2% of shares. I would not count on that impacting much. I am happy I am winding down my career; this company is such a mess now. The leadership is so lazy and out of touch.
To the person who keeps talking about the Indians, your message is not getting through because of how you keeping talking about Indians ruining things. It is not them. It is the company processes, structure, and direction they follow. They are being directed by the same process incompetence that we all are.
Frankly entire leadership from the top must be given the plank. Cut their extravagant salary and compensation down to reality. Shut the useless Indian centers. We were leaner before but we grew up from the bottom. No siloing. Until the new leadership is willing to invest from grounds up, these useless Indians will drain this company dry.
Shut down the entire contractor mentally. Stop the ppt mentality. It has rotted the company. Stop these travel travel and travel to India. Our business is in north America. Wtf do Indians know of north america.
Until Elliot demands the leadership walk and force a coup nothing will change no matter how many layoffs are done. The rot starts from the top.
On the Frito side of the Org layoffs happened this week in a very under the radar manner for a bunch of DSL's according to Plano insiders. Sales are still down so Transportation is also rumored to be shrinking as well, timing unknown! Hopefully Elliott accelerates change as the company has been in a holding pattern for way too long and can't come soon enough to eliminate worthless leadership!
Yup, if anything Elliott plan accelerates things. Management knows it's either get ahead of Elliott or cut much more later, including many of them.
