I have a Bachelors degree in Political Science and minor in Economics, Ivy league school, and then went on for additional education in Computer Science. I remembering getting hired at the Labs and my Manager at the time asked if I was planning to go back and get my Masters or perhaps an engineering degree? He said I would need it to advance. My the times have changed.
Don't forget his "intelligence" in hiring our security department with id--ts from companies who were notorious for their getting hacked. So not surprisingly all our biggest leaks (and apparent ransom payments) have come under their watch. How about some more AT&T guarantees that your leaked data won't be sold?
