Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Jumping ship if not laid off in 2022

I’m in the customer service side of things. Our team has taken on so much, including the responsibilities of other departments that were laid off. My coworkers and I all want to jump ship because the added responsibilities without any increase in pay is ridiculous and they’re obviously taking advantage of us. I feel like they could get rid of our team with automation and I want them to lol because of the rising expectations.

Any possibility it could happen before 2023? I just don’t want to be here in the new year.

If you can't handle it, go. I have been given more responsibility and I love it. It means they value my work and trust me with it. bye!

I had worked there for > 15 years. Received rave reviews, exceeded expectations in all categories on annual reviews, mentored new nurses, and completed all assignments. Micromanagement became extreme, atmosphere became toxic, and revolving door of resignations spun faster. Age discrimination was very apparent. Even when I thought that things couldn't get worse, they did. I quit and it was one of the best decisions of my life.

I would start putting feelers out. I was there almost 19 years on the Optun side of things and they want automation. I gave my heart and soul to that company. I do anticipate layoffs and leaving was the best decision I ever made. I still have nightmares of the constant beep in my headset and toxic management.

I am a customer service representative. I totally agree with you about the increase in job expectations without the increase in pay. I was hoping to be laid off by the end of 2022. Especially since they have hired over 400 representatives in the Philippines . It hasn't happened yet. I am so over this job. I do not want to be employed by Optum insight or United Healthcare in the new year.

The same thing happened to me a little over a year ago. I have been bounced around and my last review was cr-p. Been a dedicated employee over 25 years. They talk about how much they appreciate their employees and its all BS!!
