DM is reporting the below. This isn’t news to anyone on this site but when MSM starts having these stories, I believe it scares people on Main Street and then they get tighter purse strings, etc. Self-fulfilling prophecy and all that.

When some sl--e-ball in a suit and tie gets on TV and says something, I generally don't believe them. I don't care if they're telling us that "everything is fine!" or if they're saying "the sky is falling!". Every week it's a fresh crisis.

But there is a whole herd of people out there who DO believe those sl--e ba--s, and the markets are driven by what that herd feels and how that herd responds.
