Heard from a reliable source that mid level leadership and directors are being let go at value added services in droves. No direction for reports as to where the chips will fall.

I lost an excellent manager who had incredible knowledge and a far reaching friends and family network, and her id--tic boss tried to sell the RIF's to us as something that would benefit the company in the long run. Have we ever had a mass layoff that benefitted customers or employees? No. Only the bottom line and the upper management bonuses. Our management is both stupid and self serving.
Many very talented team members were let go. People that have been key drivers in our successes. I know they say everyone is replaceable. Not this time!! Very sad!
I genuinely wonder sometimes how these decisions are made. Today we lost some of the most valuable people on the team that help make us profitable, yet my useless manager is still here. While I don't necessarily wish a layoff on anyone, it's sad when those who don't deserve this are now gone due to their longevity with the company.
Yes, my manager and previous managers were let go.
Follow up, hearing roughly 700 managers/directors made redundant.
