I was affected by this layoff. Thanks to the WARN act, I am to remain on payroll for 60 days, which will include full benefits and will enable my RSU to mature so that I don’t lose that. Plus, Washington’s unemployment benefits are very generous compared to other states.

@OP that’s the date the people notified this week will officially be off Oracle payroll. Oracle is required to provide two months “notice” before official layoff. Since they didn’t file for upcoming layoffs early as required by Washington’s WARN act laws. So long story short, that’s not a new layoff coming up. It’s the one that just happened.
