“ Management used to follow the 3-month rule afforded non-management, but the company is moving away from that now, often giving people just 2 weeks to leave payroll.“

They have been like this for non bargained (“management”) for at least 5 years now.

Labor layoffs per contract and if needed are announced on the 15th before the next quarter starts. Management can happen at anytime, the recent trend seems to be based how much HR can handle ant any given time. They may slow their roll on layoffs since AI doesn’t appear at this time to be the panacea companies originally thought they would be. Recent studies have proven it to not be that effective or a minimal benefit so some companies are reversing their layoffs until AI improves.

Non-management will be announced before the end of September. Management is being treated differently now. Management used to follow the 3-month rule afforded non-management, but the company is moving away from that now, often giving people just 2 weeks to leave payroll.
