@cy I work in the BU he is part of. He is worse than Frank. I remember at the last town hall we had during hybrid schedule, he literally stated that we need to make it harder for merchants to migrate away from Fiserv.

Seriously? It's free enterprise. If a merchant feels we su-k, our fees are too high and they received poor service and products, it's their right to take their business elsewhere. I was appalled that this was implemented.

The comment about FTS holding the company together made me laugh. Ask anyone and they will tell you the most difficult teams to work with are NOC, FTS, and DBA. They cause 90% of our issues and client outages by working in silos. I hope Mike will hit those groups next. They need a major overhaul with one single leader who actually puts clients before egos!

@cv it’s not account managers making decisions. Account managers have no control. It’s head of sales, solutions, products making promises to get the clients to sign!!

@dr so the Indians in Silicon Valley and Seattle create world class products, where as the Indians in this firm misuse English and cause customer attrition? Don’t you think it is perhaps the culture instead of a particular nationality that is the root cause. You can perhaps tatoo “I am a racist” on your forehead like the Faith Militants in the Game of Thrones instead of pulling Indians into every topic.

@cq Maybe if the issues were presented properly and important details up front and drop the I know it all newbie attitude AppOps or whatever has what it needs. Customer service newbes and Indian miss use of the english language is more of an issue.

@cq most of our client problems come from poorly run projects and inept account managers. Making commitments without involving the proper tech resources so it can be planned properly. Then the results of which get dumped on tech to mop up. I don’t think there has ever been a more responsive tech organization. Tech is holding the company together.

Good move on John Gibbons it was more than past due for him to step down. Andrew is a low EQ leader who i doubt will be much better. My guess Mike will have him on a short leash.
Sad to see Casey go, sure he is going to work for Susan at PayPal, which is a competitor, not sure how he can do that?

Why was Gibblet treated differently and allowed to "retire" and stick around?!! WHY was he not treated with the same respect that he gave to so many others in FIG??! HE DESTROYED the place! He is the worst of them and we let him stay for 6 -months???? No trust or confidence in this place anymore. Gibblet got what he wanted.

@ax i will say, some of our client’s most frustrating experiences come from the app ops / FTS folks. Hyper unresponsive and difficult to work with when you are experiencing service issues.

@ax , maybe you have a point. I also like to add that he is great at spying. I am sure he did that to improve the well-being of people. Once a giver always a giver!

@a3 you are kidding, right? Must be a former fiserv employee that worked in FTS recently let go. Pete actually gives a damn about his employees and their well-being, you aren't going to do much better in a role this high up. He also has plenty of solid leaders under him as well compared to some of the direct lines of businesses where people have no accountability for their teams.
