They know they will score even lower than in March if they come out with the mandatory RTO policy!
Watch out!

is the RTO in the room with us right now?
@at How do you know?
@1ds ILMN leadership certainly is not good. But taking money while not giving an honest effort shows a lack of self-respect, as does staying in a situation where you feel you’re not being respected. I no longer work for ILMN, and I left because the direction of the company was negative. Perhaps you should take ownership of your situation rather than whining about it on a message board and prompting others to get paid without contributing.
@r1 Just coast . No excuses anymore for working hard. No one gives a f*** you know . Don’t let your “conscience” manipulate you into working hard. You coast or don’t coast — you will be laid off if they decide to make the ax fall ; and if they don’t then, well you are living the good life . So might as well stop working , do the bare minimum , even lesser than minimum . Like a (laid off) buddy told me , assume you are already laid off and live without fear. 🕊️🕊️
RTO with 20% pay cut? Time to steal toilet paper and office supplies to resell them on Ebay
@dp understood but easier said than done for many of us who are still in positions of having to work our as--s off, even more so now after 9 layoffs and 3000+ fewer people now.
Oh yah 😂😂😂 love the whole "we're still thinking of a plan on how to reward everyone after removing RSUs" months later. Guessing the decision will on for another few quarters before they say "yah we don't really have a plan". Clowns
Hmmm…This better not be the case or even more will be leaving Illumina. It would further erode trust, be completely impractical, waste money in various ways, lead to less productivity, be insulting, etc. On top of being told we essentially need to grow up and mature in the last company meeting. And that not getting RSUs was a part of that process..!? As Illumina races to be like everyone else after years of distinguishing itself as a leader, a great place to work where hard work was rewarded, etc. Less and less so sadly as the brain drain continues and management flounders.
Chill out guys . Treat the job at Illumina as free money. Quiet quit already , coast . Figure out next steps meanwhile . Collect the paycheck till then. Fill Ipulse , stay under radar . It is this simple .
@at that depends on what team you are on!
No, there is no RTO mandate planned.
