Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Rose colored glasses

I’ve actually grown annoyed with the individuals who are still at 3M. Some still believe they are the top talent and that’s why they kept their jobs. Being part of the nepotism crowd gets you no where when you finally land on your bu-t outside of 3M. You probably didn’t rub the now impacted and re-employed colleagues the right way when they were there either. Those from the 3M network are unlikely to bail you out when your on the list because of how you treated them at work or after they were on the list.

I’m moving on and it is a great thing. I’ve grown to despise the situation with leadership and the peers that are staying ONLY to receive their pension. Most aren’t working, they don’t care to. They don’t need to.

Leadership who cut individuals below them (effectively cutting their own work scope should have been demoted for the change) yet, continue to walk around taking about the “X” months (less than a year) they have until they clock out for the last time. Disgusting.

I’ve grown resentful of the atmosphere and attitudes. I’m debating on not giving any notice.

China built 500 entire cities from scratch, moved the majority of their huge population from poverty to the middle class, and mostly cornered the market in 5G and pharmaceuticals. They have 40,000 kilometers of high-speed rail. America has none. We’ve been having ‘Infrastructure Week’ every week since 2009, but we never do anything. Half the country is having a never-ending woke competition and the other half believes we have to stop the lizard people because they’re eating babies. China sees a problem and they fix it. They build a dam. We debate what to rename it. We’re not losing to China; we lost. The returns just haven’t all come in yet.

Luckily my emotional intelligence is high enough that I’ll give notice despite having resentment towards the environment but will be spending vacation during notice period as well.

I deeply regret my MMM career.
It took me 15 years to wake up.

When I finally got the kick in the a.s.s I needed to get pushed out the door, everything turned out fantastic!

Happy holidays!

After I was laid off from MMM, none of my colleagues or management would give me a reference.

20% didn’t care
80% actively engaged in making me fail

I love the work atmosphere with WYW. Accruing more money for my pension, saving gas not driving to and from work, lunchtime naps, doing some emails to apac at night just to show I'm working. This boomer is going to be laughing it up in retirement with a great pension.

The young crowd voted in biden and socialists like Omar. Enjoy paying for MY social security and Medicare with your taxes. Meanwhile, get back to work.

How much notice does 3M give when the guillotine drops?

Agree and understand your feelings.

I would give notice which is the right thing to do.

Best wishes to you and God bless!
