Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Most of Intel manufacturing sites are Not in US, but in other countries (China, Ireland, Israel, Malasia, Vietnam, etc). Is Intel a US company?

Most of Intel's fabs, assembly and packaging sites are in other countries, not in US at all. Intel only has 60% fabs in US, and 99% assemble and packaging are in other countries (China, Malaysia, Penang, etc).

Does Intel count as a US manufacturing company? Its manufacturing in non-US countries is higher than other companies.

What counts for tariff and duties is “material “ transformation. AT is minimal transformation which is why all AT is outside USA with exception to ATTD which is an npi shop

Y'all do understand it isn't about counting locations, it is about counting investment dollars spent by geo, right? One US fab costs more than all AT sites in Asia put together.

Certainly not composed of US citizens at American sites that's for sure. All 8JuanBs, majority of engineering deeply struggles to communicate in English.

Intel was pioneered in the US but it has became a multi nation corporation recent years. American are still trying to claim it is a US company but in the reality it isn't. It is belong to whoever own the most stocks. This year it has became Malaysia company first time since LBT took over.

Intel also has many design centers overseas. The management of any multinational corporation has no loyalty to any country. They can change their headquarters to Taiwan next month if management thinks it will profit them somehow.
So why are they getting my taxpayer dollars? Will that also go to exec bonus and stock buybacks?
Taco T is being deceived.
