Did Jacob just accepted that Roche is a serious competitor? Never seen he accept or agree about a competitor before and losing train of thought and not looking confident is not good. Does Roche have something that’s really a threat to Illumina? He had a plan for Ultima but nothing for Roche.

He spoke to some LLM guru at openai who told him that LLMs will soon have everyoines genome anyway based on their chatgpt history. Bravo. ILMN is dead as our chatgpt history can sequence us soon. my greatest take away from todays meeting.
@ag I wouldn't be so sure if I were you. Roche is a huge, well funded, pharma company with great leadership. They might surprise you!

Roche’s product is made for clinical requirement, so it will take sometime for them to get up and running. Illumina will be able to come up with our own solution by then to maintain the market share. The market size can allow for multiple leaders.
