Hearing more and more rumors that Stankey and others are discouraged with Downtown Dallas homeless and crime and considering a move of some or all of HQ to one of the northern suburbs.
We sold those buildings years ago so does anyone know the remaining lease and/or commit to Downtown?

The company is moving jobs from Dallas to Minneapolis in 2026 to take advantage of the bargain real estate, tax incentives, favorable politics, collaborative local union along with cuter football cheerleaders.
Having a hq in any downtown in america is such a 1930's idea..

Not sure if OP is accurate but those stating we're not moving and dug into Downtown Dallas, allow me to introduce you to AT&T. We like to change course on everything, and this would fit the norm -- buy high, sell low, destroy culture in process, etc. We've cornered the market on this. If anyone arrives each day and says "this is beautiful and safe!" you're an id*ot. Just ask your colleague walking past a piece of dookie on sidewalk each day. A move up to northern suburbs would not shock me and probably welcomed by more than half of those employed at HQ.
The market-based cubbies are too big at Akard. They can totally go smaller. The new suburban wage cages will be inspired by the enlisted bunks from a WWII submarine.
How dare you suggest our leaders drive north of Highland Park!!?? Thaddeus Lamborghini ONLY drives downtown and back. No Frisco, Plano or Prosper!!
Didn't AT&T buy one of the apartment buildings adjacent to the main campus a few years back?
They're not moving...Stankey is going to get his money's worth from the Discovery District he built. Plus they've gotten the majority of the homeless moved away from the area. It was real bad during the covid era but much better now.
@ac most homeless around hq had been given the chance of rehab and housing (offered by the city of Dallas and documented in the news) but most rejected the offered. You have to stay “clean of alcohol and dr-gs” to enter/continue the house/rehab programs., so they stayed and keep asking people walking to their jobs for money. Substance abuse has been and still is a major issue. This is the real dangerous downtown environment. That’s why leasing and buying space in downtown is cheap.
You can dress a building with million $ of high tech great looking renovation, yet you are surrounded by filth, dr-gs and crime … the new ATT..
And how will take care of the problem exactly? Put them in jail, hospital/institution, or ship them out of the country?
I’d be quite impressed if he actually helped them in some way but he I don’t think he has the skill, the will or the heart to do so.
Nobody’s moving from downtown. $15million dollar revitalization project, multi-decade building lease and a commitment to the City of Dallas to remain in downtown.
Not happening…surely you are aware of the $100M “At&T Discovery District” in downtown Dallas? Stank isn’t walking away from that.
