Moved from San Diego to Arizona for AT&T. I am an L1 manager. I uprooted my family and sold my home. After a year of moving, we are being told that our title is being phased out and that we have to reapply for a mobility title that does the same work. This includes a cut of almost 50% of our salary. We provide back-end help to call centers for all workgroups, through system called SmartChat.

An L1 and you actually relocated? Why?
You knew about this page, so you had to have known the overwhelming majority of responses advised against moving for this exact reason.
They wanted you to quit.
You chose to move for them.
They didn’t care and will lay you off anyway.
Smart chat going away and being rewritten in AI ya big dummy. We want one big fat dopey app to launch and manage it all.
Another "Stankey" surprise.
In 2019 several folks who worked in Mesa, AZ were let go, because the Mesa site wasn't a collaboration hub. Has this changed and it is a collaboration hub now? Bunch of lies from the company. Is the building still rental site?
Lesson One: NEVER move/ uproot your family over a company that has proclaimed NO Loyalty to anyone and has a long track record of dumping people at its very first Opportunity.
They pretty much eliminated all of the mobility managers in that role by selecting only 1 of 6 centers to move to .
I sadly hear about this fairly often. Their plan A goal for you to quit. You didn’t…so they are on to plan B, now. If you survive that, plan C isn’t far behind. The Stank made it clear, no loyalty! They don’t care about you.
All that said, sorry about hope you’re in. My suggestion, while you’re still getting a paycheck, start lookin’…
The only good thing is you left crazy Cali and high prices so, there is a silver lining in all of the bad news. Hopefully you will be able to land another position in a bit.
That is why you never move for work. Sorry for your troubles. AT&T and Stankey su-k.
