@ap EMEA will be hit in September. The list of people is in the system already.

13000+. More in India and more to come.
If you are H.1B, your job is safe because you belong to the protected cast; no just at Oracle
Based on the latest reports, Oracle has laid off an estimated 11,000 employees globally in 2025, which represents about 7% of its total workforce.
US:Thousands of jobs, including 161 in Seattle alone
India:~10% of Oracle’s Indian workforce (approx. 2,800 people)
Canada and Mexico: Hundreds of roles affected, especially in cloud divisions.
EMEA:Additional layoffs expected.
The layoffs appear strategic rather than performance-based, and they reflect broader trends in tech where automation and AI are reshaping workforce needs.
I believe I counted 178,015 people under Larry and Safra earlier this week. Check in 8 days what that number has become.
- Mass numbers in India
@ag said: “doing same sh-t for years.“
The same sh-t…you mean selling product. Actually bringing in revenue.
There has been no press release so far, so we can only guess. But from what I saw in my business unit the cuts were big.
Doesnt look like 10% because they didnt start with EMEA other APAC countries yet. Numbers for the week include India, USA, Canada only.

Doesn’t feel like it’s anywhere close to 8k. LinkedIn is pretty quiet.
@ag incorrect. The layoffs include new grads all the way up to ic5 and even some VPs and entire teams, I read. Has nothing to do with age.
Bloated teams need to go. Oldies grabbing seat , dont want to learn any thing , improve , doing same sh-t for years.
GIC got affected. OIC got affected. Not sure who else.
8000 is 5% of Oracle, I originally heard 10%
@OP How are you able to come up with random number? Throwing the stone in dark?
