SLL here. Got laid off today. Happy to report the severance package is still 1 moth per year of service. I’ll take some time to decide what is my next in my life. I definitely won’t miss BP’s politics, rewarding the gift of gab & old boy network over delivering results.

Very sorry to hear that you were let go. Take the severance package and take advantage of what they offered. There is life after BP. I was one who didn't believe that I could find something more attractive, but I did. You will as well.

I’m really sorry to hear that. There are serious accountability issues as the firm is trying to turn itself against the goal it has set in the past 4 years… traditionally speaking I thought SLL and FLL are more protected though, but there seems no such protection this round?
