Damn, that was an enlightening look at just how sc--wed up healthcare is in the US. Private equity firms seem to ruin everything for everyone to line their own pockets.

The CEO answers to a Humana Board of Directors. So, there's that. Not an enviable position to hold. The CEO is just a highly paid "puppet" and the fall-guy when things don't go well. As defined by the board of directors and shareholders.
I mean this may be a hot take but Jim hasn’t really don’t anything wrong in his tenure. He’s honestly stuck with cleaning up a ton of mess that was left for him.
Many raised concerns about operational effectiveness and hiring practices, suggesting Jim Retchin might not have been a perfect fit in every dimension.
