I haven’t seen any young people hired here in ages. Management recently showed a list of interns in a PPT slide and 95% were Indian names. A coworker told me his kid tried to get a WF college scholarship here and the company rejected them, I didn't even think that was possible. It seems disgraceful to not even help a little, plus its a tax deduction.

GenZs work for wells fargo for a year then jump ship once they figure out this place runs like a 1970s bank.
Been here decades and applied for scholarship. Didn't gst an email saying we got one or a decline
Yes, wf does hire early career talent. But young people quickly do move on to next and better opportunity once they have gotten a taste of the current culture.
"They all think way too highly of themselves..."
And you've interviewed them all? Or else you wouldn't be in a position to make such a broad, sweeping generalization.
And we know, beyond doubt, that anyone who cloaks themselves in religion is never dishonest. Never has ulterior motives. Truly the best of the best 👌
@d6 Yes quote a book written 3500 years ago while slamming an entire generation of people as if your generation never did anything wrong. The only young people I've seen are in Teller and phone banking positions which our all powerful CEO wouldn't last a month in.
This intern BS is a slap in the face to our entry level people that do a ton of work at WF. $36/hr? Posh all expenses paid trips to Orlando theme parks? Meanwhile, the higher ups refuse to pay our internal people S and think a 0% increase upon promotion is a 'great idea'.
Have you checked the open positions lately? There are intern positions for next summer posted; the ones that get through that can be hired into the early talent program. Interns get paid $36/hour.
hm an alien must've wrote this post..
Yes and those selected get indoctrinated into re--rdville congratulations to everyone
Yeah, we have early talent programs.
@OP do you think that everyone should get a scholarship simply because they applied? What kind of participation trophy thinking BS is that?
There is an analyst program, but it's tough to get accepted. Definitely need to know someone or be a previous intern. And getting an intern job requires knowing someone in the right place as well.
Otherwise, there are tons of tellers and ops like positions. Will they accept that though?
Most will not accept entry level positions, it’s beneath them.
Yeah, entry level = I&P. Tech = I. Retail, going away. Mortgage? Shrinking away because execs 'dont like it'. Lots of other stuff sold or spun off. Controls/audit won't be growing now that cap is lifted. What exactly would entice the kids? What's the interesting career path? If you're interested in sales there are some jobs, otherwise...
I think young people are in to the scam of corporate life and have opted to focus their attention elsewhere. That mixed with entry level positions being more and more exported to the cheaper labor markets in the Philippines and India, the opportunities and even the desire to be a corporate drone or company man is no longer there.
@a3
What a3 said. They might hire you if you're fresh out of college in the Philippines or India.
Wake up.
You're in the midst of a treasonous attempted takeover.
