Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Market Based Stankey - Should Be Fired For His Merger Failures

His failures with Warner, DirectTV and TMobile cost the company BILLIONS. Mr Toughguy Stankey failed to integrate those companies into AT&T. Thats all on him.

So why does he still have a job?

The company's stock is a dog. Except for the last 2 years the stock has been a dog for over a decade.

You really expect the rubberstamp BoD, of which he is the Chair, to do anything other than praise Little Stank’s Tough Leadership?

  • Don't think for a second the Board does not approve of his message. Just as they approved of all his decisions that got AT&T into the spot it is in now. This "letter" is who he is and it also shows who the Board is.

  • I'm still searching for a company in the last 100 years where a CEO is openly hostile and antagonistic towards the employee base and has been wildly successful.

For those that were around in the AT&T Wireless days, you may remember John Zeglis He was Chairman and CEO 1999 to 2004, when he was ousted for his poor judgements and driving the company into the ground.

Let hope history repeats itself!!

I understand that some of you may have started your tour with this company expecting an "employment deal" rooted in loyalty, tenure, and conformance with the associated compensation, work structure, and benefits. We have consciously shifted away from some of these elements and towards a more market-based culture — focused on rewarding capability, contribution, and commitment.

He is feeling the heat. We need to keep up the pressure on him and not let him off the hook.

After the text message hacks and data leaks, I don't know why any c suites still have their jobs. Leaking CPNI is a big deal and American telecoms made us all less safe

“ Your mistake is assuming leadership is held to the same standards as us filthy peasants. At that level, you can constantly fail upwards.”

True statement, but for Pete’s sake..stop referring to those vermin as “leadership”. They only they “lead” is ill gotten gains into their bank accounts.
