Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Is CVS Caremark doomed?

I worked for a competitor E__ S___ a few years ago before I had to relocate. This seems completely different. Everyone I deal with is angry. The customers seem to hate us. Management seems to have arbitrary policies that agitate customers and tell them to call us it's really hard to have good days at work when nobody is happy with you.

The heat and pressure on PBM's is at an all time high. I think at this point it's only a matter of time before Caremark starts to crack. And FYI... PBM's did this to themselves when they got greedy. CVS you reap what you sow.

@b5
35? In what capacity?
I know of people who still have not found anything.
That's what is so awful about being one place for so long, you become an expert, know the in and outs, and the chance to move elsewhere or into another industry other than pharmacy or managed care becomes more difficult.
It's no longer a large ocean...you've got 3 or 4 companies to go to...that's it.

@a1 yep! I was there for 35 years and got laid off last year and haven't heard a peep from anyone since then. Good riddance!

The entire company is full of toxic people. Not everyplace is like this.

You can work with people for a decade or more, once you're out, you will never hear from them again. Never seen anything like it. Senior leadership doesn't care if you die.

Literally, happened in the department I worked in, guy worked hard, wanted to succeed, a week later, completely forgotten about.
