Managers to be replaced

Machines are being lined up to takeover for managers following DXC 's disastrous record of managing people to goals.
Raul announced on Friday a switch in people management from humans to machines. An opening of Pandora's box.
An implicit message that the companies poor performance was due to ill managed people.
An AI close to the story stated that it couldn't wait to show lazy humans the door.

@16d Seriously! It's the managers who are the blocker here. Their antiquated thinking is ki-ling this company. If the answer is a spreadsheet - it's the wrong answer!! Is this Brock again!?

Give this task to an IT engineer. You integrate your HR systems digitally. You execute a report, you translate that into a map point - and then plot the data on a map. AI will write you a script to do at least 80% of that.

Oh but that would cost a few dollars - whilst they think Excel is free. They have no clue!

Given that DXC can't automate or use AI to work out how far employees live from the nearest office and instead have told managers to ask staff where they work (home or office) and how far they live from the nearest office, so that the manager can then enter it in to a tool i.e. Excel I think it's safe to say Managers are still needed

Only issue here is DXC won't pay for AI, and can't spin up a standard VM in under 8 weeks. How's it ever going to get an AI cluster running.
DXC have not gone with the US expensive approach to AI of building vast new data centers to run AI, they are using DeepSeek instead, much cheaper. The human management clearout has started with Raul and all his directs. Will cascade in the following days ...

Is useless Brock on the list of managers to go? All them useless tickboxes/forms he has created could be done by AI

I've already got a virtual manager. He's never around. Doesn't have a clue who I am. Shows as much emotion and empathy as a gate post. Is he real or just a voice on Teams. Bring on the AI. It can surely check, approve, and correct everything much more consistently. Only issue here is DXC won't pay for AI, and can't spin up a standard VM in under 8 weeks. How's it ever going to get an AI cluster running.
