Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

PIP question

What are the signs that you’re being set up for a PIP, especially if you’ve raised concerns about leadership? I’m not under my toxic senior exec, but I did speak up and now things feel off. I'm just trying to stay prepared. The silence and vague feedback have me worried.

PIP is just so they can fire you without severance. There is no recovery from it, so don't bother.

If you are on a PIP, your boss is telling you in their strongest possible voice that they don't want you on their team.

Once you are on a PIP you will be fired so just move on immediately upon locating a new role in another business preferably a different industry.

No time for PIPs. If you aren’t cutting it, you will just be laid off. Harsh but true.

PIPS are not secret. You will be provided a document sharing with you that you are on a PIP and it will outline timeframes and expectations around improvement. They can be established at any time, but usually there would need to be at least one performance review rating of needs improvement.
