I am a year out from my layoff and glad to be so settled in something much more stable and fulfilling. A year prior to my layoff, my home based status was changed to hybrid and I was forced to do a 90 mile one way commute. Another team member was forced to relocate half way across the country at that time and now I am reading that office where he moved is closing. From what I am reading, the crazy continues. I’ve never seen such craziness. Glad to be out!!! There is much more freedom on the other side of the madness.

It's not the return to office, it's the forced relocation coupled with the likely closure of that office.
@cz I come back to remind myself how crazy things were and a year later doesn’t seem it’s changed.
@d5 Fully employed!
Seeing a lot of package takers on LinkedIn w "Open to Work". Open to work has plenty of freedom
If you are happy then why are you still lurking here?
“so much more freedom” on the other side?”
That doesn’t ring true. Every major corp is sending employees back into office. What fortune 50 company still allows full time telecommute?
