Thread regarding CVS layoffs

What's the Elevate HR initiative?

Based from the email from our chief people officer, it sounds like HR is reorganizing over the next 14 weeks. Anyone have more insight on this?

@j8 It is a horrible culture workplace that made me ill. Other companies are not like this. Its a deeply rooted problem. Management spends more time setting people up to fail than setting up for success. They break every employment law in the book

HR allowed the practices that occurred within Aetna and CVS culminating in employee deaths, severe Nepotism, mental and emotional abuse.
The abuse of power in this company is sick.
Alcoholics running large departments. Directors and above bringing in their spouses and relatives. It is the textbook definition of toxic workplace.
If you bring it up you are told you are a disgruntled employee and are then blacklisted.
Yep. That is the word one director used.

They are going to have to come up with something. The last two rounds of layoffs thinned the heard already, when Lynch left are Chief people officer left also. So we replaced her with Boeing executive. Simple equation, create actual career paths, develop actual idps, provide training that matches the role and the job description. And when there is a complaint, and sure the person being complained about isn't the person investigating the complaint..... 99% of the time in retail, if you complain about your boss, your boss is asked to look into it

HR? What do they even do? Promote the company on linkedin?

New hires are pipelined through hey aren't you sleeping with someone here? Know someone who is sleeping with someone here? Not sleeping with someone here?....by the hiring manager. Sorry your resume wasn't even screened through Workday.

HR is worthless. Questions aren't answered. Issues aren't fixed. Websites and tools are confusing and not helpful. Suggestions on the company ideas site specifically say "don't include HR recommendations". No accountability, and aren't interested in improving.

HR is a joke here. Retain top talent my a-s. Most companies have reduced HR by a third. They used to be holistic and move people around, now it's the law of the jungle and protecting nepotism.

I don't know about most places, but having pharmacisists commit su----e doesn't look good

CVS does all these reorganizations and never explains the why. Toddlers are held accountable for knowing why an action went wrong and are then able to think of the right approach given a second try. CVS HR is the laughing stock of Fortune 500 companies. Instead of growth plans they fixate on cuts and damage reputations and quality in endless ways. Wouldn’t take much to elevate since they are barnacles on the bottom. Scrape them all off.
