4 Days in the Office?

So what does everyone think about AP mandating 4 days in the office?
….and GO!

You can wear jeans to the office now. Of course they’ll soon announce Fridays in the office too.

Won't be staying. Should have stayed at 3 mandatory days.

I secretly hope Cenovus has a large incident. Karma is a bi--h AP.

Don’t you whiny babies get it! Who are AP, his team of goons gonna walk around showing off their cars and cash to and who’re they gonna bully if no one’s in the office!? Quit whining and show up and give them the platform they need

Quiet quitting. Taking day 5 off every week. Not recording my flex data and taking an extra day here and there. Calling in sick at least 2-3 times per month. And of course vacations. Oh CLT oh CLT it’s game on!

Why not 6? Only hardcore people should work at CVE.

What does AP do anyways.
Anytime he makes a decision, we all lose.
Company would be better run without the ‘leadership team’. I vote for WTI only.

Well, I certainly didn’t get any collaboration done during the 2.25 hours I spent in my vehicle while commuting on snow and ice covered roads today. That’s 2.25 hours that Cenovus is never getting back.

Wish I could have worked at home today with -25C outside. I’ll be more happy with AP in January with -30C.

Well, Cenovus may as well go back to 5 days in the office, as there isn’t any flexibility left in the work from home pilot. If there is a long weekend, you need to be in the office 4 days. If you take a flex day, you need to be in the office 4 days. This program now has the flexibility of a 0.5mm mechanical pencil lead.

It got too quiet on layoff.com, so I knew this would happen. If crickets continue, expect 5 days plus less PDO’s and a salary rollback.

What are you gonna do?
Me, nothing. Grudgingly come in 4 days a week, and always plan to use my flex mid week.

I think this will be chaotic, lots of folks will do Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and pretend they came Monday or friday.

I’m thinking late start, early leave fridays

It’s really too bad some of the high salaried supervisors and managers let their people mail it in since January rather than enforcing the 3 office days per week during the hybrid/flex pilot! That failure is the reason we are all being forced to now come in 4 days per week. I’m sure these supervisor and managers will all keep their jobs though.

There is essentially no flexibility any more. 4 days in the office, so if you use a PDO, there is a stat holiday, or you use a vacation day you are in the office for the other days. I guess they still had to say there is some kind of a flexibility program but in reality there isn't.

The most inflexible flexible work from home program ever. What a joke. Our CEO clearly hates the work from home program and that’s probably why our last VP of HR quit on him. I figure he read the comments from our last staff survey and didn’t like the feedback. So now it’s payback time.

The writing was on the wall ever since they decided to track office days over the summer vacation season and right after they told everyone to use up their unused vacation days or lose them.

This move is completely detached from reality and I expect both morale and productivity will plummet. So much time and energy is wasted commuting to the office, disconnecting and reconnecting tablets, going to different meeting rooms or different buildings, going for coffee or lunch. This decision was poorly thought through and I have yet to hear a single person say they are happy with or support this move.

Zero chance to do any focus work in the office. Great for unproductive meetings and showing off though.
