Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

We’re expected to accept whatever comes our way

No matter how out of touch, disrespectful, or irrational it may be. We’re treated like cogs in a machine that's constantly shifting. Tossed around like inanimate objects, controlled as if we were unruly children, and repeatedly disrespected despite our skills and work ethic. And when the numbers say so, we're simply discarded.

@j2 Most of us on this site or just tolerating things until the job market gets better. That's why we're on a layoff forum. The job market su-ks, this company su-ks, but if and until the situation shifts in the favor of employees, we're all tolerating things until we can leave.

In other words...reality. This is reality at pretty much any company, particularly large ones. What matters is whether you choose to do something different or just wait around as if this is something happening TO you rather than something you're choosing or tolerating.

The best thing is that you can decide to stay around and put up for it or apply elsewhere. Gotta love free will.
