@a3 This might help with your understanding.

@1kb Many H-1B visa holders come to the U.S. through outsourcing firms like TCS and Infosys. After gaining permanent roles and eventually managerial positions, many of them sponsor others from their networks — often from the same region or background — creating hiring pipelines that are less than patriotic and appear exclusionary.
The H-1Bs are actually becoming FTEs through nepotistic practices.
Exactly!! They need to pack up and go back to India.
@xj BS, those H1Bs are basically cheap indentured servants to the bank. Pay them "pennies" and they cant really just pick up and leave because they always need a H1B role to stay in the country...
@a3 The job market is very competitive. Hiring is a merit based process. The reality is international students are willing to work ten times as hard and burn the midnight oil doing Leetcode problems.
H1B hiring is better than sending job to offshore where they can hire 6 employees for each 1 onsite resource. H1B is at least helping to grow economy by paying taxes. In this digital age, company has leverage to hire talent anywhere in the world. By the way I am not an H1B holder.
Trump needs to tariff American company three times the h1b salaries
"Lots of US citizens CS/finance grad can't even find jobs" - And you know this how?
