Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Layoffs Did Occur Mid-July.

I know half a dozen of those affected and all of them did not RTO when they supposed to.

Not complying with RTO will get you fired it doesn’t even make sense to think you would be severance.

Careful! If you announce retirement, no severance. Look in Alight documents for severance details.

@c0 laid off effective August 1st. With severance. Some been around for decades so they likely got a nice 2nd half of the year to enjoy.

Layoff with severance???or fired???

If layoff with severance for not RTO is true, then many of us will not RTO so we can get severance.

If I get severance for not RTO, I definitely won’t show up to get my 1 year severance since I retire next year anyway

I heard a lot of people got layoff due to outsourcing and jobs moved to other hubs

What departments, can you say? Usb or elavon? Ops or product, etc.

So they were laid off with severance? Perhaps that was a risk they were willing to take. For some workers, they would rather get laid off with severance than comply with RTO.
