Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

There used to be a sense of pride here

Now it’s just quiet fear and survival mode. No one feels safe, and the idea of having to train someone who didn’t even earn the role is just salt in the wound. I don’t want to be here anymore. Whatever culture we had has been replaced by spreadsheets and silence.

Nike's pride carries same weight as a prost---te's pride.

Nike pride. Really? A ho---r in Sandy Blvd. has more integrity and pride. Give me a break. (when I lived in PD 40 years ago, Sandy Blvd was full of ho---r, don't know now)

@a6 rewards for behavior: this isn’t some sort of Pavlovian scenario. You waiting for a dog treat? Showing up as an accountable professional is having self-respect for what one does. We create the environments we work in and if the culture is not interested in your value proposition then it’s time to change jobs-teams

@ab If you think Nike is rebounding, you’re blind to your surroundings

Our stock is improving rapidly and we are improving as a company. I don't see a point. Nike is back to where it was.

@a1 This would be great advice in an environment where it was actually rewarded
