@ah Let me honest with you. That kind of mental attitude will get HMS Titanic aka Nike will run into a big iceburg. Currently Nike struck a big iceburg and now it is up to all current employees from EH down to make sure things don't sink to the bottom.
If you flew back to 70s on a time machine, adidas was absolute king. And d-mb people back then said there is no way adidas is going down. And Nike was some sh---y sneaker company in Portland with PK scrambling to meet payrolls every week.
THE CURRENT PROBLEM WITH NIKE IS THAT THERE NOTHING BUT D-MB, A--KISSING, IGNORANT, ENTITLE PEOPLE WORKING THINKING THAT THEY ARE THE REASON WHY NIKE IS WHERE THEY ARE.
Most empires in the history went down for same reason. Eventually, they did not know why they are where they are.

You had nothing to do with Nike being on top. Don't take credit and act like as if it is yours. I was around 40 years ago. Your objective should be to make sure Nike does not further lose their market share. Don't bury your head in the cubicle so that you don't get your head chopped off be ballsy and speak your mind and be part of the process.
We did it in our days. Just Do It, that is where that sh-t came up. Now, it only stands to sell T-shirts. Because pencil pushers like you don't know the meaning of it
I know most of you are Nike employee. I am a former employee working for a company that is in the industry but not directly competing against Nike.
Instead attacking personally or be defensive, we have to think critically and objectively.
So let's add to OP's post with constructive or critically without attacking going on a circle.
That will achieve nothing for us in this site

Lets be honest. Theres only one athletic shoe brand and thats Nike. Always has been and always will be. Nike is the best company to work for.
