It was a relief. The nonstop shuffling of teams, constant layoffs, and offshoring wore me down. Just seeing a meeting invite from my manager would set off anxiety. Took me a while to find a new job, but I'm better off in every way now. Layoffs at Fiserv should not be feared, trust me.

I was let go in late May, bitter for about a day and took the opportunity to relax and refocus.
Been the best few weeks and now getting ready for the work grind outside of this shithole company and incompetent management.
Stay positive everyone.
Was waiting, got caught up in the "we are making you a Contractor" instead. Remote employees and about 400 others. No severance.
I pray every day that they take me next.
Good to see such posts. It’s just a job. Always be prepared to be laid off. Get some emergency funds ready. Be prepared with a plan. Build a network. But most importantly be a forever learner! Everytime I lost a job or HAD to quit one, I have ended up doing better. No job is worth your mental health
I ask every day if they can take me next.
@OP I was laid off last November. Absolutely the best thing to happen to me! I enjoyed every single minute of my paid time off and just landed a new job that pays 25% more with the same or better benefits.
