Nike had bread and butter formula. Give me public athletic shoes with good looking style with celebrity endorsees with stories tied behind them.
Maybe those day is over.
Maybe public wants simple casual/athletic style. For crying out loud, we have exploited overly price price athletic shoes with endorsees long enough.
Maybe public are saying spending disproportionated amount of their income on a pair of shoes is not justified
Maybe, perhaps, maybe perhaps.
Maybe the fact that Nike is going down has nothing to do with Nike, public has overspent and maxed out and they are cutting back on very expensive shoes.
Maybe the clock has turned and people in Nike are not aware of it
Nothing is forever.
Let me give some names here. Kodak, Sears, Polaroid, K-mart, GM(they got bailed out). They are former DJ30 that went bankrupt and gone or technically not gone for GM. So don't think that Nike is invulnerable.
