Such a greedy company, so much GREED. There’s not enough money in the world that would keep the greedy leaders at Oracle happy, money is everything to them. They bath in it, swim in, it’s consumes them.
Meanwhile at all hands meetings ... our people are the most important thing to our success.
However, sorry despite our amazing financial results we have been unable to secure any funding for pay increases, promotions or bonus payments.
Fear not, we are committed to finding you exciting and stretching development opportunities / more work.

@24m Sounds like you mean the pointless annual employee evaluation.
Focal specifically relates to promotions, bonus, RSU assignment and pay reviews.
The org has been very quiet regarding those things or it's been informally suggested that there will be no increases this year.
Focals are few and not regular, get used to it. Any internal folks notice the big "Resignation" button in SSA? Guess its hoped that people resign so no package for years of service. etc? Anyone else had their group asked 'what exactly it is you do here?' Friend had that, was told that 'AI is really cool', to work on getting it to do 'more of your job' and then you can move onto bigger and better projects. Code for 'you can then look for another job when we RIF you...?

We had focals in my group. Now word yet on raises/bonuses/rsus, but that usually doesn't happen until September

Lots of talk on the internet about how all these layoffs, because people have been replaced by AI, isn't exactly what they say. They are laying off because the AI thing has become a gigantic revenue eating monster and they can obfuscate it as "oooh look, AI has replaced (fill in number of heads), isn't tech just graaaaaaaate?!" and free up some $.
the 'leaders' at oracle want mass quiet quitting/quitting. most of big tech is bloated and the ai 'stuff' is a distraction, they are selling wall st future productivity gains on ai vaporware and riffing with the excuse that the productivity gains makes 'those people' not needed.
its all a grift and cream and sc-m rise to the top.
No raises or bonus for this year.

In my GBU/Org it has not been announced openly that there will be no focal. Although, we’ve been instructed from by M6 and M7 level that this will be a year to keep the expectations low and that there will be very little if any bonus, promotions or raises and that equity is up in the air currently.
No one should be surprised. Of all the truths about Oracle, the one that goes ‘get your best salary when you join because you won’t see any raises’ is the most durable.
@ay Yes it has been announced. Originally I thought it was just select groups, but appears to be Oracle wide. Maybe not OCI?
I think no focal was announced in OH but this probably isn’t a company wide thing.
The reality is that some orgs (strategic roles likely AI and IaaS) will get it and some (non-revenue generating) more likely won’t.
@b1 Just hope you don't get laid off before your RSU's mature.
Salaries are for POOR PEOPLE. Everybody knows that your RSU's are your real compensation plus you only pay capital gains after they mature. What's that? You didn't get any RSU's either? Try harder, loser. AI is going to replace all of the salary people anyway.

I can't imagine the approach of "think yourself lucky that you actually have a job" would be well received.
