With Humana undergoing significant organizational changes, is there any news on a potential new round of early‑retirement offers this year? It could help open up opportunities for younger associates while supporting longer‑tenured colleagues. Associates taking early retirement get two weeks’ pay per year of service.

Announcement should be made on Monday for early retirement
@154 do you know when the process of this will begin?
@OP Yes, coming soon. Heard the age limit is dropping and looking for 2,000 then RIFs, targeting directors at first.
@ee Employee must be 55+ years of age, worked for Humana for 10+ years.
What are the requirements for getting early retirement offer?
@bv Exactly. I also feel for those who aren't close to retirement but could still be affected by a RIF. That’s why Early Retirement offer could be a smart strategy for Humana. Those who qualify and are ready may see this as a good opportunity to leave the workforce on their own terms—while also freeing up space for others who need to stay.
I have heard there will be more early retirement offers. But, Humana has no retirement. You either quit and get nothing or take the early retirement offer or get RIF and the package is the same. I have been here a long time and early retirement was never offered or offered on the large scale it has been since the first in 2017. We lost so much knowledge then and in the other ones. The only ones who benefit from it are ones who would be retiring in a few years or ones that know they can find a job paying close to the same, all within the time frame (2 weeks x # years). For a lot of seasoned people, we cringe when we hear early retirement because RIFs are not far behind. Try being a 50+ in IT looking for a job.
