My tech org got reamed. They are now looking at how long people are in office. Making comments like 2 hours is lazy. 4 is the bare minimum.
They use it against you during reviews if you don't meet the parameters.
they use it to let you in the building
For now, your boss can see it if they want to.
They get an email proactively if you aren’t averaging the right number of days. Besides that it’s up to them if they care how long you’re there.
In the future corporate could use the data however they want. Never been a mass layoff for those that tap-and-go before, but doesn’t mean there never will be.
