There's always people at just about every building where the rules dont apply during a layoff. Sometimes it's senior people immune from the layoff, sometimes it's people where the location strat doesn't apply to their group at all, so they simply put them in the nearest available building. They are usually moved out before the final hammer drops. Seen it many times. I'm not saying 100 people are going to be moved from the barn to the tower, it will probably be 0-5 people. Just depends on who's there.
@dg I think it's baseless b.s. No reason to believe this will be the case.
Nooo why are u guys saying barn ppl will go to the tower? the entire barnhart site was told we would be gone and displaced by end of 4th quarter? whats making u guys draw to this conclusion
I hate RTO more than anyone, but it's pretty unlikely you guys will be WFH anytime soon. HYs objective is clearly to pull everything but retail out of the state and RTO is one way that they encourage people to leave voluntarily. It'll stay. Barn refugees that are sent to the tower will be very very small in number. Probably just a handful.
They'd better not send Barnhart people to the Tower! That would be so incredibly stupid. Just let us work from home already.
Looks like 20 something ops people. My guess is that we'll have at least 1 floor of office space in the tower for a while longer, including some refugees from the Barn at some point, but none of it will last.
