Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

These org changes accomplish nothing

These org changes ain’t fixing anything. It’s just leaders picking who to get rid of and who to bring on their team. But when the people calling the shots are the problem, the results are gonna su-k too. This isn’t some big comeback. The real issue is we’ve got a bunch of leaders who only care about kissing up. They’ve fooled the higher-ups into thinking they’re doing great, but really they’re just bad at their jobs and playing politics. You’re an optimistic fool if you think this changes anything.

Lead by example and Lead with courage! Ha! That’s like saying speak up when someone isn’t “doing the right thing”…..Investigate 1/2 of the complaints and I can think of entire orgs that would restructure themselves!

Eliott Hill should be fired or he should fire 80% of its management staff. Fire majority of the mid/upper management. Shed the corporate office. You guys are so stupid.

Reorgs can work, but not when done this way. Everything that happened since end of 2023 has been detrimental. Not a single team is claiming to be operating better now.

yes this is textbook: "fake a big change to make your stockholders believe things are changing for the better".

done by pretty much every publicly traded corporation.

if all the managers manage up, nothing will change.

they have to manage down and even tell their managers they are doing that as a priority.

lead by example, lead with courage.

sound good? it actually IS... will it happen? no. because no manager wants to lose the golden handcuffs...
