Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Smoke and mirrors

Which country are they bribing now, almighty governance of procedures.

Which employee is receiving a big payout for wrong doing and employees get a modest 1 % annual increase.

They may market themselves as the best company in Europe, but clients knows they are too expensive to cancel their contract.

SAP is loosing their market share and they know it.

Does not matter why they bring the advisory board to the meeting to gain trust from employees and sell you another BS story.

What matters are the stock numbers to the financial market and the bonus the executives get.

While employees are still waiting to get promoted for a job well done.

Let’s not talk about the change of management whereby your career goes nowhere.

All a waste of time. You want to collect a paycheck and pay your bills stay at SAP and waste your time and talent.

Best of luck

The story is old, just like their mentality.

Wake up

@1r0 . Yep agree, same situation in Ireland. Managers generally are not trained. Instead it is easier to give positions to those who don't question, don't think and love having the word Manager in their job description. Generally the bullying type with few exceptions, underpaid for level of responsibility, but they are 'managers'.
You get what you pay for.

@1r0 That is not true. SAP has the best board and the rest of the management is also fantastic.

SAP Management in germany is full of inexperienced and racist white men whose first and last job is SAP and only survive on bootlicking...

@t0 CK became a CEO because of his dad’s connections. His dad is or was a Minister in Government Germany. Albeit CK has been with SAP for a long time but that is because of favoritism with Hasso.

CK has lost a lot of good leaders in recent years, nobody wants to work for him. The change has become a big disruption for SAP and CK placing his buddies into leadership positions are not good leadership choices.

Unfortunately all they care about is stock performance and they will do anything to achieve this. It’s not difficult cut 10% of your staff you make your 8% gain in the market. It’s stock operations 101.

Unfortunately SAP are masters in marketing and sales and want to keep their clients, however every client is not satisfied with SAP.

Unfortunately clients don’t have much of a choice because it’s too costly to change ERP.

Good luck.

There is No problem with the age in Europe. Look how young the fantastic board is!

The key issue is that their newly promoted or newly hired young managers are just as conservative and uninnovative as the older ones.

The issue with SAP High cost development centers is that they lost the innovation battle and the cause is the average age of its engineers.
Managers are getting old and are there for more that 20 years : the company didn't bring new blood and give the opportunity of management to young engineers so they bring new fresh ideas.

What happens is even if the company hires the best young engineers from the best schools, if their manager is using old methods and want just to keep the process as it is so it's not risky for him, it ki-ls the fire that exists in the new talent who, if he chose to stay, will become average...

So the only reason for SAP to keep the high cost centers is innovation which currently no longer exist forcing SAP to buy the innovation outside through acquisitions...

For example, the average age in Western Europe SAP centers is 50...so if there is no major change in management it's only a matter of time before they get closed.

@qf Would a US worker with $125K-200K salary range like to come and work in Bangalore for $25K - 75K?

@ev MSFT uses the most H1B visas to import cheap labour to the US, whereas SAP will just employ local people in Bangalore and layoff/make redundant employees in other regions where labout is deemed too costly.

@ev Campus number two opened in Bengalaru….Probably don’t need visas when they aren’t moving to the US.

I wonder if SAP has applied for visas like Microsoft did. Microsoft laid of 9000 American employees while applying for visas. That sounds like something these woke fu----s would do.

Stop whining. Put in the effort. Go the extra mile. Give everything for the board.

The board knows best. The board is brillant.
